FAQ
How to treat stainless steel seamless pipe after corrosion
Views: 1186 Update Date: Sep 15 , 2017
The metal of stainless steel seamless pipe reacts with oxygen in the atmosphere, which will form an oxide film on the surface. However, iron oxide on general stainless steel seamless pipe will continue to oxide, so that corrosion continues to expand, resulting in holes. Good stainless steel seamless pipe will damage.
How to treat stainless steel seamless pipe after corrosion? We can use paint or anti-oxidation of metal such as zinc, nickel and chromium plating to cover the surface of stainless steel seamless pipe, but, as we anticipate, this maintenance is only a layer of film. Aassuming that the maintenance layer is damaged, steel will start to be corroded. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel depends on the chromium, chromium is part of the composition of steel. Special treatment will change the oxide type of stainless steel seamless pipe on the surface, similar to the oxide on pure chromium metal. This tightly adhered chromium-rich oxide maintains the appearance and avoids further oxidation.
