How to control the galvanizing temperature and time

From the past test and production practice, the range of 450 ~ 460'C is the best temperature to control 16mn seamless steel pipe during hot-dip galvanizing. When the temperature is higher, it will increase the heat consumption, shorten the service life of steel zinc, speed up the formation of zinc slag and zinc ash, affect the quality of galvanized layer. When the temperature is lower, it will affect the galvanizing capacity of 16mn seamless steel pipe , and the zinc layer will become uneven because of the reduced fluidity of zinc.
Experienced hot-dip galvanizing workers control the time by observing the hot-dip galvanizing reaction. The 16mn seamless steel pipe is allowed to enter the dip-zinc solution until the 'boil' phenomenon stop and pulled out immediately. So that the thickness of zinc layer required for most applications can be obtained.
Most of the results show that the thickness of the zinc-iron alloy layer below the pure zinc layer is related to the time of zinc deposition, while the thickness of the pure zinc layer is related to the pull rate of 16mn seamless steel pipe. The galvanizing time of some high-voltage wire tower factory, metal structure plant, hot-dip galvanized steel factory and auto parts hot dip galvanizing factory is generally 30 ~ 60s.
