Since the beginning of this year, steel enterprises around the country have accelerated the intelligent and green transformation, at present, more than 80% of steel enterprises have built intelligent centralized control centers or carried out large model applications to promote the transformation and upgrading of China's steel industry.

At the same time, AI algorithm is used to analyze process parameters to realize intelligent planning of cooling path and automatic assignment of flaw detection tasks.

Data from the China Iron and Steel Association show that by the end of 2024, a total of 171 steel enterprises have completed or partially completed ultra-low emission transformation and evaluation monitoring, accounting for more than 70% of crude steel production capacity, and the cumulative investment has exceeded 200 billion yuan. A total of 1,867 energy-saving projects were completed or improved, reducing the comparable energy consumption per ton of steel by 1.75% year-on-year.
