Basic knowledge of hot rolled equal steel angle

Steel angle is commonly known as iron angle, perpendicular to each other on both sides of the long strip steel. Steel angle is devided into equal angle and unequal angle. The two sides of equal angle are same. It is specified in width * width * thickness, such as "∠ 30 × 30 × 3", that is, the width is 30 mm, the thickness is 3 mm. It also can be expressed by model number, the model is the width of the square meters, such as ∠ 3 #. The specifications of hot rolled equal steel angle is 2 # -20 #.
The grade of steel angle: Q235B; Q345B; SS400; S235JR; SS540; S235JO; S235J2; S275JR; S275JO; S275J2; S355JR; S355JO; S355J2.
Different standards of steel angle: GB / T9787-88; JIS G3192: 2000; JIS G3101: 2004; BS EN10056-1: 1999; BS EN10025-2: 2004.
Applications: building structure, engineering structures, such as bridges, beams, ships, container racks and warehouses.
Type of specifications: general side length over 12.5cm is large angle, between 12.5-5cm is medium angle, below 5cm is small angle.
The side length from 25mm × 16mm ~ 200mm × l25mm is hot rolled. General unequal angle specifications is ∟50 * 32 - ∟200 * 125 thickness of 4-18mm.
Delivery standards: angle steel should be bundled with required length. Pay attention to moisture when transport and storage.
Weight calculation: weight per meter = 0.00785 * (side width + edge width - side thickness) * side thickness
Example: 50 * 5 angle: (50 + 50-5) * 5 * 0.00785 = 3.73
